First Format Change - Friday, September 13, 2019 2:26 PM
As you all know (least I think you all do), it’s my last day at Lionsgate – for the fourth time... I got cut off from the Video Games dept, Accounting/AP depts, Reception (which makes sense cuz that’s you guys lmao), and now the AP dept again (on my own terms). And, I’m aware, that I may or may not come back (okay most likely yes, but who knows).
Worst of all, I am fully aware you guys will miss my Maiyah-Don Shoot the Shit emails – which, in modern terms, are my letters to you all about how the world works and profound messages of what it means to be alive. Then again, to some (okay… many), it’s the ramblings of a deranged lunatic swamped in half-illegal mushroom juices, sketchy audiobooks, low cost-per-meal Subway subs, and seemingly unwashed clothing.
Okay, yes, I’m not the smartest guy – I scored straight Cs in college like nobody else – but I believe I have a gift for writing long emails that nobody likes reading. And since you all seem to be all for me continuing these emails (least I think you all do), I will go on with these nonetheless.
I will do what Tim Ferriss does for his subscribers every Friday, but differently. Tim, at 6:30am every Friday, sends out five bullet points of what he found out about the past week, like music, books he read, people he met, products he uses, etc. Like a mass newsletter. I thought, “Wow! I’m going to steal that.”
Every Wednesday (rather than every day after lunch…), I will craft 3 bullet points of things I learned or reflections on something somebody (ie. one of you guys) said over the past 7 days. I’ll also let you all know what’s going on in my life in a small blurb. And every time I meet a new person, I’ll ask them if they want to hop on this and be CC’d. Let’s see if we can continue this thread for a year (so about 50 or so emails next, lmao). I’m going to try to get 30 people on this thread by next Fall.
This will be the structure every Wednesday:

Hope everyone is doing well. Blah blah blah - actuation, actualization, alliteration - BOOM, CRASH, POW – onomatopoeia.
